Rajasthan Board RBSE Class 7 English Vocabulary Sound

परीक्षा में एक प्रश्न ध्वनि पर आधारित पूछा जाता है। इसमें चार शब्द दिये होते हैं। प्रत्येक शब्द में एक या दो अक्षर रेखांकित होते हैं। इनमें से एक शब्द के रेखांकित अक्षरे या अक्षरों की ध्वनि अन्य दिये गये शब्दों से भिन्न होती है। इस भिन्न ध्वनि वाले शब्द का वर्णाक लिखना होता है। जैसे
1. (a) fool, (b) tool, (c) cool, (d) look
ऊपर दिए गए शब्दों में से look शब्द में 00 ध्वनि हिन्दी के अक्षर ‘उ’ की है। अन्य शब्दों में 00 की ध्वनि हिन्दी के अक्षर ‘ऊ’ की आती है। इसलिए look शब्द का वर्णाक लिखा जायेगा।

2. (a) fear,  (b) tear, (c) dear, (d) teach
इन शब्दों में teach शब्द में ea की ध्वनि अन्य शब्दों से भिन्न है। अतः इस शब्द का वर्णाक (d) लिखा जायेगा। छात्रों की सुविधा के लिए यहाँ स्वर वे व्यंजन ध्वनियों का परिचय दिया जा रहा है

6. ‘ऊ’→hoof (हूफ), rule (रूल), loom (लूम्)
7. ‘ऐ’→ hen (हेन्), (pen) (पेन्), bed (बेड्)
8. ‘ए’ → hat (है), bad (बैङ्), cattle (कैटल)
9. ‘ओ’ → ego(इंगो), hero (हिअरो), show (शो)
10. ‘ऑ’ → hot (हॉट), off (ऑफ), box (बॉक्स)

(B) Diphthongs (मिश्रित स्वर ध्वनियाँ)

1. ‘एइ’ → bay (बेइ), gait (गेइट्), vain (वेइन्)
2. ‘आई’ → buy(बाइ), bite (बाइट्), liar (लाइअर)
3. ‘ऑइ’ → boil (बॉइल्), employ (इम्प्लॉइ)
4. इअ’ → cheer (चिॲर), dear (डिों)
5. ‘एों’ → air (एॲ), pair (पेरें), chair (चेरें)
6. ‘उअ’ → poor (पुरों), sure (श्युों )
7. ‘अउ’ → home (हउम्), both (बउथ्)
8. ‘आउ’ → now (नाउ), house (हाउस्)

(C) Consonant Sounds (व्यंजन ध्वनियाँ)
